Home Trivia Quizzes

General knowledge quizzes across twelve subjects, from art to sport.

The Skills Nobody Teaches Formally

Household knowledge is handed down rather than taught — how to tie a knot that holds, which tool loosens what, why a stain lifts with cold water and sets with hot. Most people learn it from someone else, in the middle of a job that was already going wrong.

These quizzes cover that ground: tools, repairs, cleaning, sewing, knots and the small chemistry of a home.

Practical Beats Theoretical

Anyone who has done the job usually beats anyone who has only read about it. The questions are written to reward that — they ask what actually works rather than what the manual calls it.

The exception is naming. People who use a tool constantly are often unsure what it is properly called, which is where several of these questions land.

Common Questions

Are these questions country-specific?
Mostly not. Where a tool or material has different names in different countries, the question uses the term that is most widely understood.
Is any of this actual advice?
These are quizzes, not instructions. For anything involving electricity, gas or structural work, use a qualified professional rather than a trivia answer.
